Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) can be
described as the formation and expansion of cysts.
Cyst formation and expansion within both kidneys, leads to
enlarged kidneys and a gradual increase in total kidney volume (TKV) over a
person’s lifetime.
TKV increases generally precede detectable changes in kidney
function decline by decades.
